How the ticker is built
Four clocks on every name: the 8-hour, the 12-hour, the daily close, and the weekly close. The 200MA reads those clocks first. It is a gate, not a vote.
- 200 moving average — the long-term trend. 3 of 4 clocks above it: the long-term trend is intact. No short. 3 of 4 clocks below it: the long-term trend is broken. No long. Clocks split 2–2: wait, even if RSI and the channel agree.
- 20 and 50 moving averages — timing. After the 200 has set the regime, these two pick long vs wait in a bull, or short vs wait in a bear.
- Supply and resistance channels. Pivot highs and lows, grouped into bands — the same SRchannel rules as the TradingView script. The ceiling is where sellers have shown up. The floor is where buyers have held.
- RSI. TradingView RSI, length 14, on the close. Above 70 ran hot. Below 30 got sold. 49 is the midline.
A long only prints in a bull, and only if 20/50, RSI, and the channel agree. A short only prints in a bear, same agreement. If they disagree, it waits.
Educational tape, not an order. A long or short here is a stance from the rules, not advice to buy or sell.

This is not financial, investment, tax, or trading advice. Nothing on Signals is a recommendation, solicitation, or order to buy or sell any stock, ETF, crypto, or other instrument. The Leap Research is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or portfolio manager. We do not know your goals, account size, or risk tolerance, and we do not manage money for you.
Long, short, and wait are mechanical stances. The 200MA is a long-term gate: no short while price is above it, no long while price is below it. 20/50, RSI, and support/resistance then pick the side inside that regime, on public prices. They can be late, wrong, or miss the move. Charts, backtests, and past tape are hypothetical or historical. They are built with hindsight and do not include slippage, fees, liquidity, or the pressure of real money. Past results do not predict future results. You can lose some or all of what you put at risk.
You are responsible for your own work: backtesting the rules, checking the data, sizing the trade, and deciding whether to act.
